"BeatBridge" designed to make music accessible to individuals with hearing impairments by utilizing the beat per minute (BPM) of the song to create a visual representation of the music.

Scope: Second Year Interactive Design Course

Duration: Three weeks

Tools: Figma

Context

The "BeatBridge" app aims to make music accessible to deaf individuals by creating icons and animations that represent different genres of music. Using the beat per minute (BPM) of a song, the app generates a visual representation, enabling deaf users to perceive and connect with the rhythm, melody, and emotions of the music through visuals and vibrations. Its purpose is to enhance the music experience for the deaf community and promote inclusivity in enjoying music.

\\ Problem

Deaf individuals struggle to access and understand music due to the lack of effective visual representations in existing music apps. While they can perceive music through vibrations and physical sensations, current apps fail to convey the rhythm, melody, and emotions in a way that is accessible to them.

\\ Solution

The "BeatBridge" app addresses this problem by creating accessible icons and animations that represent various music genres. By utilizing the beat per minute (BPM) of each song, the app generates visual representations of music, allowing deaf users to experience the rhythm, melody, and emotions through visual cues and vibrations. This enhances the overall music experience for deaf individuals, promoting inclusivity and engagement.
